Field Sock Seal~The~Gap
Field Sock is an innovative sock which can serve 4 different purposes.
While this sock is light weight and breathable, it also is a warm sock but can also be a good pick during the spring. As it wicks away moisture from the skin. Field Sock is made with an outer cuff, this cuff is what gives this sock function. Upper cuff can serve as an inconspicuous holding sleeve, say for money.
Upper cuff can be used to tuck the pant leg in while riding mountain bikes, keeping it from getting caught in the chain. Lower cuff is used to roll up shoelaces, then pull the upper cuff down for added strength. This is great for work and athletics. Lower cuff is also used for concealing the top of the shoe, just like the photo below. Keeping debris out of your "Shoe'N'Sock" while you dig or what ever it may be.

Field Sock has a warm compression of 10-15mmhg, Snug but not to tight. Perfect for flying long distances, reducing the chance of blood clot and varicose veins, great if your standing or working all day in confined space.

Plus this fieldsman wanted his Shoelaces Concealed, not to get in way and possibly trip him while carrying material up the ladder and onto the roof.
So he pulled Upper Cuff down over Lower Cuff to provide added strength in keeping the shoelaces concealed. This would be proper if you were engaging in some type of work or athletics.

Field Sock Thread Make-up:

The Lower Cuff's thread is tripled around end of the cuff, to help create the seal in
Gaiter Sock Function PLUS to help keep the shoelaces secured.
Field Sock:
Has a 5 thread top and bottom cover stitch which attaches the cuff to the sock directly in the middle of Cuff.
